Some other common household pests that our exterminators encounter regularly are centipedes, millipedes, earwigs, and ground beetles.
Although these four insects are not actually related in any way, we have grouped them together because they are all commonly found in the home, they all thrive in similar conditions, and they can all be treated in a similar manner.
All of these insects tend to favor damp conditions. Therefore they’re commonly found in the basement and crawlspaces of the home. However, centipedes are known for traveling through plumbing lines, ending up in bathrooms, kitchens and other areas of the house that contain moisture. None of these insects are notorious for being dangerous to people although large centipedes have the ability to bite which can feel similar to a bee sting. This is however rare.
